12th Annual Homeschoolers “Week in the Woods”   - 4/26 – 5/3
Week in the Woods is a yearly event which offers a week of camping in the Catskills for homeschoolers and their families.  Our site, near Woodstock, New York, is an abandoned 19th century farmstead nestled in an old hemlock grove beside a stream at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain, a mile hike in from the road.  The campsite, which we have constructed over the years, has an elaborate kitchen area complete with stone fireplace, large fire circle, wooden benches and stone tables.  We camp in tents, cook our meals over the open fire, and spend the week sharing our families, our children, and our lives in community and harmony.

Wilderness Way Summer Canoe Trips in Canada
This summer Wilderness Way is offering two canoe trips in Northern Ontario:
1) Albany River Expedition  (38 days – 550 miles)   June 22 – July 29
This trip is an extended wilderness journey in parts of Northern Ontario where native people still hunt, fish and trap. It offers long distance canoe travel and extensive white water experience as well as excellent fishing for brook trout, walleye and northern pike.  Previous canoeing experience is not necessary, but this is a trip for adults or young people who are willing to accept occasional hardship as an integral part of wilderness experience.
2) Canoeing & Community    (14 days)   August 9 – 22
This trip is located in the Temagami Forest Area of Northern Ontario, about 300 miles north of Toronto. It is ideal for those who wish to learn canoeing technique as well as developing general camping skills.  Because the trip is tailored to the nature of the group and the preferences of the participants, it is an excellent choice for both individuals and families with children.
